55|Why God is Necessarily All-Good: The Inevitable Logic of Omniscience

Scripture reveals God as: All-Knowing (Omniscient), All-Powerful (Omnipotent), and All-Good (Omnibenevolent). Many find it easy to grasp "Omniscience" and "Omnipotence," yet they often harbor doubts in their hearts:

  • "If God is All-Powerful, why is there so much evil in the world?"
  • "Is God truly, perfectly good?"

This article aims to demonstrate from ontological logic:

  1. Why an All-Powerful being is necessarily devoid of evil;
  2. Where evil originates;
  3. Why evil is more of an "illusory structure";
  4. Why God is necessarily All-Good.

(1) God is the Creator, Thus at His Level, There Is No "Inability"

The universe comes from God; laws come from God; existence itself comes from God. God is not a "participant" in the world but its Source and Bedrock. A source faces no external limitations regarding its own creation; therefore, God is necessarily:

  • Omnipotent (all-powerful);
  • Omniscient (all-knowing).

In God’s perspective, there is no "threat," no "lack," and no "possibility of loss." These fears exist only for finite humans. A Being with no fear, no lack, and no threat has no motive for evil. Evil arises only from the finite, the fearful, and the scarce; God possesses none of these prerequisites.

(2) Where Does Evil Originate? From the "Dividing Mind" and the "Illusion of Scarcity"

Evil is not an independent substance, but a fallen structure of the human heart. We can trace its chain: Differentiation → Comparison → Judging Good/Bad → Struggling → Sense of Scarcity → Envy and Hatred.

This is the dualistic structure man entered after eating the "fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil." Evil was not created by God; it is the illusion manufactured by humanity in a dualistic mindset after leaving God. Just as light is real and darkness is merely the absence of light, love is real and evil is merely the absence of love.

(3) Why Is It Impossible for God to Have Evil? Because God Is Not Within Duality

Evil can only exist within a dualistic system: Good vs. Bad, Win vs. Lose, Me vs. You, Gain vs. Loss. But God is not one "side" within a dualistic system; God is the Non-Dual Substance. In God, there is no hostility of "Me vs. You" or anxiety of "Gain vs. Loss." There is only Love, Creation, Abundance, and Life.

  • As long as one falls into dualistic opposition, evil can arise;
  • As long as one is the true Ontological Source, evil cannot exist. In logic, this means: If He is God, He is necessarily All-Good.

(4) The All-Knowing is Necessarily All-Good: Ignorance is the Root of Evil

Evil does not start with "intentional malice," but with ignorance: Not knowing the truth → Misunderstanding others → Fear and Hostility → Harmful Actions.

The deep root of evil is Ignorance (Avidya) → Misunderstanding → Fear → Evil. But God is All-Knowing. He has no ignorance, no misunderstanding, and no fear limited by information. Therefore, an All-Knowing being cannot produce evil; He is necessarily All-Good. This deeply aligns with Christian theology, the Buddhist concept of "Ignorance," and the Taoist "Knowing the Way." Evil is never produced by True Knowledge; it is always produced by Ignorance. And God has no ignorance.

Summary|Original Doctrine 55

  1. The All-Powerful has no fear or threat, thus no motive for evil.
  2. The All-Knowing has no ignorance or misunderstanding, thus evil is impossible.
  3. Evil arises from the dualistic dividing mind and the illusion of scarcity in fallen humanity, not from God.
  4. Evil is not a substance, but a shadow produced in the heart when love is absent.
  5. God is Love itself and the Non-Dual Substance; therefore, He is necessarily All-Good.

In one sentence: God is necessarily All-Good because evil exists only within the finite and the dual, and God is neither finite nor dual.
