IV. Summary: The Three Major Systems Are Each Half Right, but Entirely "Incomplete"
The three major schools of successology are:
- Traditional Successology: Describes the traits of winners but fails to explain the origin of these traits.
- The Law of Attraction: Discusses manifestation and universal resonance but fails to explain the underlying mechanism of manifestation.
- NLP: Discusses internal structure but fails to touch upon the source and ultimate purpose of that structure.
Each of them has grasped a piece of the truth, yet none are complete. Consequently, successology has devolved into:
- Motivational Science
- Autosuggestion Science
- Dynamics
- Personal Growth Assistance
It has failed to become an Engineering Science—a discipline that everyone can use, where correct input inevitably leads to successful output.
As a result, we observe:
- People studying the same successology, yet some succeed while others do not.
- People practicing the same Law of Attraction, yet some experience manifestation while others find it entirely ineffective.
- People training in the same NLP, yet some achieve breakthroughs while others repeatedly return to their starting points.
This is not because these systems are entirely wrong, but because they only touch upon the "Surface Structure" of success. The true decisive factors remain hidden much deeper. This brings us to the core issue we will focus on in the following sections of this book:
Why do some people still succeed by studying these successologies? If successology is not a true science—why does it still work for some?
This is a question that seems simple but pulls at the very heart of this entire book. In the next chapter, I will dedicate myself to answering it.
