15.3 | We Refuse to Give Because We Crave "Security"
5. We Refuse to Give Because We Crave "Security"
The reason we are reluctant to give usually isn’t because we are greedy. It’s because we feel we don't have enough. In real life, the fundamental motive behind constant saving and accumulation is a simple one: A lack of security.
For example: when you get paid on the 15th of the month, your brain immediately calculates how to make sure you survive until the next 15th. This isn't a bad thing, nor is it greed; it is a primal human defense mechanism against the uncertainty of the future.
But it also means your old subconscious is in control. In that old code, the logic is: "If I give first, I will have nothing. If I have nothing, I’m in trouble."
However, if you truly believe that the wealth God promised you is already prepared—that it belongs to you even if you can’t touch it this second—then your interior begins to shift into a new state: The state of Faith.
Giving first is your way of signaling to God, to the universe, and to your own subconscious that you actually believe you have received. By doing so, you are prying open the door of your heart to wait for God’s Grace.
6. Training Your Abundance: Start Small
If we had the faith of the boy with the five loaves, or the widow with the last drop of oil, we could give away everything we own, and God would bring about a massive multiplication.
But the reality is that the "Self" isn't updated overnight. The old subconscious is often terrified of "giving it all." Big faith starts with small faith. You don't have to jump into extreme behavior right away. Even if starting small means the results are a bit smaller at first, you are still building the muscle of faith and slowly overwriting your subconscious.
While you are waiting for that million-dollar promise to manifest, you still need a baseline level of psychological security. So, train yourself with the small things:
- If you usually tip $10, give $20.
- If a friend needs help and you’d normally say no, give them a few hundred dollars in support.
- If you used to withhold kindness, start proactively giving it.
This is a process of training your Internal Sense of Abundance. It’s not about just "being a good person"; it’s about shifting your State of Existence from scarcity to abundance.
7. The Correct Mindset for Giving
When you give something away, do not mark it in your mind as "lost." In the structure of "Believing you have received," giving is not a loss—it’s an Investment. It’s not a cost—it’s Sowing.
But more importantly: this isn't a cynical calculation. It’s not a bribe. It’s not: "I’ll give a little so You are forced to give me more." Remember, we can only believe and open the door; when God gives and how much He gives is His Sovereignty.
Giving is an expression of your state:
- You give because you are already standing in a position of abundance.
- You give because you are no longer afraid of losing.
- You give because you know the source of growth isn't you—it’s God.
A person who is truly abundant gives naturally, joyfully, willingly, and with gratitude. They know: "I have already received," and "What I give will return in even greater measure."
Conclusion of This Chapter: The Behavioral Command
Once you have prayed; once you have "received" it in your heart; once you have entered that state of completion—the very first thing you must do is:
Give yourself away. Give away exactly what it is you are trying to get. It doesn’t have to be money; it can be love, care, or knowledge.
This is the very first physical move in the Divine Success system. It is the core action that proves your state.
Next, we will discuss what else you need to do to ensure your petition truly enters the Generative State and manifests in reality.
